Umee is a cross chain DeFi hub that interconnects between blockchains. As a base layer blockchain, applications and money lego primitives can be built on top of Umee to access cross chain leverage and liquidity. The Umee Blockchain facilitates interoperability for a Tendermint Proof of Stake protocol with the Cosmos ecosystem, Ethereum network, side chain architectures, layer two scaling solutions, and alternative base layer protocols.

New blocks on Umee are proposed by validators. To enable Umee to run seamlessly, validators need the technical capabilities to offer a secure, always on infrastructure. Not everyone is able to do this. Some token holders participate indirectly by delegating the tokens they have to a validator. Validators are running a service for delegators. They typically charge a fee to cover their operational costs.
By delegating UMEE, you help secure the network. You get part of the rewards provided by the protocol for this assistance. If you are planning to hold on to UMEE for some time, delegating will help you accumulate more UMEE while contributing to the health of the network.
You are not giving away ownership of UMEE by delegating. As a validator, we will never have the ability to move your UMEE.
UMEE penalizes any validator that misses too many blocks or double signs a block by slashing the staked amount on that validator. We have our own capital on the line, so we are fully incentivized to do our best to prevent such events. However, delegators must be aware that this slashing risk will always exist.

Undelegating (also called unbonding or unstaking) can be done anytime. However, it takes approximately 21 days for your UMEE to undelegate and become transferable. This time period exists in order to prevent long range attacks
We charge 5% from the block rewards received by our delegators. For example, if a delegator receives 100 UMEE as a reward, TTT will receive 4 UMEE while the delegator will get 95 UMEE.
With UMEE staking offering up to 15.82% APR, you can increase your earnings by an additional % by enabling the restake rewards feature on ReStake.app, accessed through your Keplr wallet. This feature automatically claims and restakes your rewards, compounding your earnings without any hassle or inconvenience. It's a secure and easy way to earn passive income.
When you stake your UMEE tokens with TTT, you may become eligible for Cosmos-based airdrops, allowing you to receive free tokens as a reward for your participation. We support many blockchain networks, so you never know what exciting opportunities may come your way.
